Colouring the Dragon

Dragons, those majestic creatures that soar through the skies with their mighty wings and spit fire with fury, are a source of fascination for children and adults alike. This little dragon seems to be practising his fire-throwing skills, which he will surely need when growing up. His expression shows determination as if he is learning to control his powers. Who knows what adventures await him as he grows up in this mysterious world of mountains and cloudy skies?

Ideas and tips for colouring this dragon

To bring this dragon to life, use a variety of strong colors. Start with dark and bold shades for the scales, such as greens, blues, or even reds for a more dramatic look. The wings can stand out with lighter or contrasting tones, such as purples or golds. The dragon’s claws and belly should be painted in a lighter tone, such as gray or beige, to create contrast with the rest of the body.

The fire is a perfect opportunity to play with bright, warm shades like yellow, orange, and red. Add shadows where the fire casts light for a more realistic lighting effect. Don’t forget to give the eyes a vibrant color like yellow or orange with small white highlights to make them shine.

For the background, you can use vibrant greens for the grass and light blue or gray for the mountains, leaving the dragon as the main focus. A softer color for the sky will keep the attention on the dragon.
