About this drawing

Batman on the Batcycle is the fastest way for the hero to weave through Gotham's narrow streets. When the Batmobile is too big to squeeze past traffic or down an alley, the bike lets him chase villains without losing a second.

Batman has no superpowers, so he relies on his brains, his training and his gadgets. His fortune as Bruce Wayne pays for custom vehicles, which he keeps in the Batcave, a huge hidden cavern beneath Wayne Manor.

The Batcycle has had dozens of looks in comics, cartoons and movies. Some versions look like ordinary sport bikes painted black, while others have giant wheels and futuristic shapes. Almost all of them are dark, so Batman can move unseen at night, and most carry a bat-shaped detail somewhere.

Riding a bike like this takes serious balance. The rider tucks down low to cut through the wind and leans into each turn to stay upright, just like a racing motorcyclist. Whatever the design, every Batcycle is built for speed, sharp turns and fast getaways through traffic. For a hero who works at night, being quick and quiet is just as important as being strong.
