Description

This charming drawing conveys a sense of peace and warmth. The scene of someone snuggled under a quilt filled with detailed patterns is perfect for relaxing while you color. The quilt, with its patchwork design, invites you to play with a wide range of colors. You can go for soft pastel tones for a cozy feel or choose vibrant and contrasting colors to highlight the different squares. The key is to use your imagination to make each section of the patchwork uniquely come to life.

Tips and tricks

For a special effect, you can use a gradient technique on the hair, transitioning from dark to light tones, giving it a more dynamic look. Additionally, for the patchwork, you could use different types of colored pencils: some softer for light tones and others more intense for darker or brighter patterns. If you want to highlight certain details, metallic markers or gel pens will be perfect to create textures and give the quilt a more unique appearance.

A secret, with all humility, this drawing is inspired by the famous painting by Gustav Klimt, ‘The Kiss’.
