Leave a thin white line on the shield's rim so it looks like shiny metal.
Gently toss a paper plate or flying disc and watch how it flies.
Captain America spent years frozen in ice and woke up in a completely different era.
Captain America shield throw moves are some of the most exciting in all of Marvel. The shield is meant for defense, but Cap throws it with such accuracy that he can knock down several enemies with one toss.
The most amazing part is how it comes back. In most stories it has no motors or magnets. Cap figures out the perfect angle so it bounces off walls, floors or other objects and returns to his hand. Pulling that off takes reflexes and eyesight far beyond normal.
The round, curved shape helps a lot. Like a flying disc, the shield spins as it travels, and that spin keeps it steady in the air. Since it is so tough, it never bends when it hits something.
In the movies, other characters try to throw it and cannot match his results, which proves that owning the shield is not enough: it takes tons of practice. That skill is one reason Captain America earns so much respect from his teammates. Many young fans try the same move with a frisbee in the park, although catching it on the rebound is much harder than it looks.
