About this drawing

Spider-Man and Hulk both burst onto the comics scene in 1962, and both came from Stan Lee. He created Hulk with artist Jack Kirby, and the two heroes have crossed paths many times since, sometimes as allies and sometimes trading punches.

Hulk is really scientist Bruce Banner. During a gamma bomb test, Banner was blasted with radiation while trying to save a young man who had wandered onto the test site. Ever since, whenever he gets angry or stressed, he transforms into a green giant with nearly limitless strength.

The famous rule is simple: the madder Hulk gets, the stronger he becomes. He can leap for miles in a single bound and shrug off blows that would stop anyone else. Unlike Spider-Man, he has no gadgets or spider-sense. He relies on raw power.

Both are misunderstood heroes. The newspapers attack Spider-Man while the army hunts Hulk. Each has joined the Avengers in different stories, and they have shared the screen in Marvel movies. Their mix of differences and similarities makes them a fun pair. One relies on quick thinking and agility, the other on sheer power.
