Write a joke Deadpool would tell while looking straight at the reader.
Deadpool first appeared in a comic book in 1991.
Deadpool with katanas is the classic look of Marvel's Merc with a Mouth, a nickname he earned because he never stops talking. His real name is Wade Wilson, and he almost always carries two Japanese swords on his back.
What makes Deadpool one of a kind is that he knows he is a comic book character. He often looks right at the reader, comments on the story and cracks jokes about the artists and writers. This trick is called breaking the fourth wall, and it is his trademark.
Like Wolverine, Deadpool has a healing factor that closes his wounds almost instantly. He got it in an experiment that left his skin badly scarred, which is why he always wears his full suit and mask. His humor is his way of dealing with everything he has been through.
His movies have been huge box office hits, although they are made for grown-up audiences. In them, Deadpool keeps chatting with viewers and pokes fun at other superhero films. Behind all the jokes, though, Deadpool sometimes shows he has a good heart, especially when someone he cares about needs help.
