Monster Wheels in Blocks

About this drawing

A Minecraft monster truck is the kind of build you want to show off to friends, and friends are a huge part of the game. You can play solo, but Minecraft really shines when several players share the same world.

At home, family members can play together on one console with split screen. Online, players join servers, computers that keep a world running around the clock. Some are small private spaces for families or classrooms, while others host thousands of players at once.

Big servers offer all sorts of minigames, from races and treasure hunts to hide-and-seek and team survival challenges. It is smart to play in safe spaces, with a grown-up's okay and privacy settings turned on.

Shared projects, like a garage full of vehicles or a monster truck arena, are a great way to work together. Everyone adds an idea, and block by block the final build ends up far more impressive than anything one player could make alone. Building with others also teaches kids to share ideas, divide tasks and work out disagreements, skills that are just as useful far away from the screen. Plus, it is simply more fun with friends.
